TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING SMART PHONE

Disclosed are a system and a method for monitoring air pressure of a tire using a smart phone. The present invention comprises: a sensor unit which includes a plurality of TPMS sensors wirelessly outputting sensing signals having temperature information and tire air pressure, and detecting the air pressure and the temperature of the tire by being mounted on a plurality of vehicle tires; at least one smart phone which receives the sensing signals from each of the TPMS sensors, and includes TPMS applications for indicating the received sensing signals as analyzed or set forms to display the air pressure and temperature of the tire on a screen; and an application server which saves the TPMS applications and transmits the TPMS applications to the smart phone when a request for the TPMS applications from one smart phone is received. The invention is capable of establishing TPMS with a low cost without additional display devices and checking the air pressure of the tire from the outside.
