The present invention relates to an operation control method of an air conditioning apparatus. The operation control method of an air conditioning apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a cooling step of cooling indoor air when the indoor temperature is greater than or equal to a predetermined target temperature; a dehumidifying step of removing water vapor, which is contained in the indoor air, when the indoor temperature is less than the target temperature and a measured indoor humidity is greater than or equal to a predetermined target humidity; and a purifying step of removing pollutants, which are contained in the indoor air, when the indoor humidity is less than the target humidity and the measured pollution level of the indoor air is greater than or equal to a predetermined target pollution level.
