The present invention relates to a system for managing a room key and providing room information. The system for managing a room key and providing room information includes: multiple room keys which respectively include RFID tags in order to be used in each room which is distinguished as a hotel or a model; a room key management box which has multiple slots respectively formed in a front side part so that each of the room keys is inserted and accommodated and senses the existence of each of the room keys by installing an RFID reader of a plate shape in order to be adjacent to each rear end of the slots in the rear side part; a room management PC which confirms the existence of each room key by receiving a signal from the RFID reader by being connected to the RFID reader of the room key management box in a wired or wireless way and confirms whether a room is in use or not in real time according to the existence of each room key; and a room information providing server which receives information from the room management PC in real time by being connected online through the room management PC and an internet network and provides information about whether each room is in use or not for a portable terminal through the internet network in real time or a user PC of a user who is willing to use a room.
