The device has a film unit placed in removable boxes (30, 30') that are separately arranged between side walls (26, 26'), which delimit a fishway (22). The removable boxes comprise an immobilization unit for immobilizing with respect to the side walls. The immobilization unit includes a connection slide for sliding the boxes with respect to the side walls. A lighting module exhibits hollow parallelepiped shape and comprises a lighting unit and a recess form accommodating a camera module. An independent claim is also included for a fish counting device.
