Disclosed are a mobile gateway collecting sensing data of sensors in a wireless sensor network and transmitting the sensing data to a server; and a method for transmitting the sensing data using the same. A mobile gateway, which connects sensors with a server in a wireless sensor network, comprises: a sensor information collecting means for collecting sensing data of the sensors; a gateway selecting means classifying the sensors into a first group and a second group, selecting another mobile gateway positioned closest to a sensor included in the second group, and asking the selected mobile gateway for a data report about the sensor included in the second group; and a sensor information reporting means transmitting sensing data of a sensor included in the first group to the server. |
