The present invention relates to a box type surveillance camera housing which is applied to a surveillance camera device installed outside for a security purpose or a guard purpose. A surveillance camera housing structure, which is designed to be difficult for a person to identify a surveillance direction, does not allow the person to recognize in advance the installation place and the surveillance direction of the surveillance camera out of a surveillance area and to move avoiding the surveillance camera. The surveillance camera housing structure of the present invention comprises a lower housing which includes a surveillance camera for photographing through a first opening formed on the side surface and a lighting device for irradiating through a second opening formed on the side surface and is opened upward; an upper housing which is connected to the upper side of the lower housing to open and close the lower housing; and a sunshield which is installed in the upper side of the upper housing to cover both the planes and the cross sections of the lower housing and the upper housing. The sunshield has a circular, elliptical or polygonal circumference shape when viewing in the upper surface, wherein the elliptical circumference shape has a ratio of a short axis length to a long axis length of 1~1.2, and the polygonal circumference shape has a ratio of the shortest axis length to the longest axis length of 1~1.2 based on an axis length (length from a middle point of one side to a middle point of the other side in a diagonal direction).
