<p>A method and an apparatus for transmitting data are provided to improve reliability of message transmission in a network congestion situation by disabling a PRSCTP(Partial Reliable-SCTP) service as occasion demands. A data transmission apparatus includes a connection setting unit(22), a control request receiver(24) and a service controller(26). The connection setting unit sets the SCTP connection with at least one node by using the SCTP. The control request receiver receives the service control request about the set SCTP connection from at least one application(40) by using the extended socket option(30). The service controller disables or enables the service about the SCTP connection which is set up according to the received service control request.</p> |
