摘要 FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and presents a method of evaluating inflammation and/or insulin resistance in an animal via quantitative determination of presence of an analyte in serum or plasma. The method involves collecting a biological sample of the animal, wherein the sample contains a set of analytes, including at least a cytokine, a chemokine, a hormone and an adipokine. The sample interacts with a collection of molecular probes, separately immobilised on a multi-parameter assay panel, to determine presence of each substance from said set of analytes. For each analyte in the set, the collection of molecular probes includes at least one probe suitable for detecting presence of said analyte. Each probe is capable of producing an independently detectable signal if the analyte is present in the sample. Signals obtained from interaction of the sample with the collection are detected. A correlation is established between the signals and the presence of a substance from the set of analytes in the sample. A correlation is established between the presence of a substance from the set of analytes in the sample and known health status parameters.
