The assembly has an aluminum part (11) comprising a connection surface (20) and a flanged rim (13). The connection surface and the flanged rim crimp a steel part (12) that comprises another connection surface (22). A prepolymerized semi-structural adhesive is interposed between the connection surfaces. The latter connection surface comprises a planar zone (21) that is in contact with the former surface, and another planar zone (23) positioned away from the contact, where the latter planar zone forms volume with a sufficient height to place a thick semi-structural adhesive joint (24). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a crimp-stuck assembly.
