The purpose of the present invention is to provide a steam iron, wherein the steam iron of the present invention is characterized by comprising: an iron body; an ironing panel (20) which has a steam inflow chamber therein, steam discharge holes (22) penetrating a bottom surface of the steam inflow chamber, and a heater (30) provided therein, and which is coupled with a lower portion of the iron body; a steam chamber cover plate (40) which includes a steam port (42) communicating with the steam inflow chamber of the ironing panel (20), a water port (41) for water supply, and a steam chamber forming groove formed between the steam port (42) and the water port (41) and coupled with an upper portion of an installation part of the heater (30) of the ironing panel (20), wherein a steam chamber is formed by the steam chamber forming groove between the steam chamber forming groove and an upper surface of the ironing panel (20); and a water preventing block unit (50) provided at the ironing panel (20) so as to be provided at the steam chamber, configured such that the height thereof is gradually increased from a rear end portion toward a front end portion, and including a steam generating chamber between an supper surface of the ironing panel (20) and the steam chamber cover plate (40) and a steam passage formed between the front end portion and the steam chamber cover plate (40). |
