The method involves providing a central management unit (C) with a set of sections (Sa-Sd), where the management unit is arranged for controlling a line (L). The unit is allowed to receive information to determine the sections on which the travelers are to be transported and the sections on which the travelers are not transported. A set of vehicles is allowed to move between stations (Ga-Gd) of the same section during a sequence only if the travelers to be transported are present. The stations are again occupied by vehicles moving towards different points (A, B) at the end of the sequence. The vehicles are electric, thermal or hybrid vehicles. An independent claim is also included for an installation for adaptation of a method for transporting travelers. |
