Disclosed are a method of controlling a headlamp and an apparatus for performing the method. The method of controlling the headlamp comprises the steps of: receiving headlamp control variables; and controlling the operation of the headlamp based on the headlamp control variables, wherein the headlamp control variables are at least one of a vehicle speed, a vehicle location, information of a gyro sensor, traffic information, weather information, and information of radiation intensity. Therefore, the present invention can enhance durability of the headlamp by controlling the headlamp to adapt to driving environment, and enhance stability in driving. |
