The present invention relates to a lane keeping control apparatus and a lane keeping control method thereof capable of relieving anxiety and a sense of difference by setting a lane keeping control range by considering the driving conditions of the vehicles around a driver′s vehicle when the vehicle on a next lane approaches. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the invention is the lane keeping control apparatus which controls lane keeping by inputting torque to a steering wheel when the lane departure of the driver′s vehicle is detected by anticipating the lane departure of the driver′s vehicle. The invention comprises: a camera shooting a surrounding area of the driver′s vehicle; and a control unit, which varies the range of the lane keeping control when some of the vehicles are moving on the next lane, and determines whether or not some of the vehicles approaching the next lane exist on film of the surrounding area captured by the camera. |
