An alignment layer, a method of forming the same, and a liquid crystal panel having the same are provided to reduce the manufacturing time and trials by determining the appropriateness of the alignment layer according to the birefringence value. A liquid crystal panel includes alignment layers(400a,400b). The alignment layer aligning the liquid crystal molecule to the fixed direction has the birefringence value between 0.001 and 0.1. Therefore, with the standard value for determining proper anisotropic of the alignment layer, high contrast can be obtained and afterimage can be solve. The birefringence value of the alignment layer has the range 0.004 to 0.07. |
