Provided are a method and an apparatus for detecting profile which calculates an entire voting value by detecting an entire image with regard to the profile of a testee, and detects the image of the profile of the testee by analyzing the entire image voting value and one or more local image voting values after the one or more local image voting values are calculated by detecting one or more local images with regard to the profile of the testee.
