The device e.g. dielectric sensor (20), has an anode, a cathode and a generating unit for generating to create an electric field from the anode. An analysis unit analyzes an electrical signal received by the cathode. An interface (26) transmits data by radio frequency. A communication unit communicates between the analysis unit and the interface. The interface uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for transmission and comprises an antenna in form of a coil (L) and a capacitor (C) associated with the antenna.
