A multi-user touch system comprising: transmitter means comprising at least one transmitter and a plurality of transmitter antennae, the transmitter means being operable to apply a respective different encoded signal to each of the transmitter antennae by means of the at least one transmitter; and receiver means comprising at least one receiver and a plurality of receiver antennae, the receiver means being operable to receive by means of one of the receiver antennae an encoded signal applied to one of the transmitter antennae when a user selectively couples a transmitter antenna and a receiver antenna to one another by means of at least a portion of the user's body, the receiver means being operable to determine an identity of the transmitter antenna that transmitted the received signal by decoding the received signal using receiver reference data stored by the receiver means. |
