PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery capable of preventing occurrence of non-effective shunt current between a protruding portion of an inner bottom plane of a battery case and a negative electrode plate, which may cause problems such as reduction of welding efficiency, generation of sputter, damage of porous insulating material or occurrence of internal short circuit.SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery has at least an insulation member which has an opening and is disposed over a protrusion of an inner bottom plane of a battery case. One lead is connected to the inner bottom plane of the battery case by welding via the opening of the insulation member. With this, problems such as generation of sputter, damage of porous insulating material or occurrence of internal short circuit and reduction of welding efficiency can be prevented. |
