The systems and methods disclosed herein provide for an electronic border that dynamically appears and disappears in an electronic display screen of a mobile device, such as a tablet computer, smart phone, laptop, and/or other mobile device. In an embodiment, the mobile device comprises an electronic display screen that is sized to fit the entire and/or substantially the entire, length and width of the face of the mobile device. 1. A computer-implemented method for controlling a dynamic border of a mobile computing device, the computer-method being implemented by a physical processor of the mobile computing device, the computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, by the physical processor, a sensor signal indicating detection of a user contact or a user input for triggering deactivation of an edge portion of a display screen of the mobile computing device; and deactivating, by the physical processor, the edge portion of the display screen in response to the user contact or user input.
