Provided are: a Corson alloy having both high strength and high notched bend properties; and a method for producing the Corson alloy. A Corson alloy which is a rolled material comprising 0.8-5.0 mass% of Ni and/or Co, 0.2-1.5 mass% of Si, and a remainder made up by copper and unavoidable impurities, wherein the area fraction of a crystal oriented in a Cube orientation {001}<100> is 5% or more when analyzed on crystal orientation by carrying out an EBSD measurement at a thicknesswise central part of the rolled material, i.e., a part that exists at a depth of 45-55% of the thickness of the rolled material, in a direction parallel to the thickness direction of the rolled material, and wherein the area fraction of a crystal of which the orientation <111> aligns with the width direction (TD) of the rolled material is 50% or less. |
