PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for selectively binding and separating at least one component from whole blood or a body fluid to solve a problem related to an inflammatory process.SOLUTION: A method for selectively binding and eliminating at least one component from whole blood or a body fluid allows the blood or the body fluid to pass through a rigid integral separation matrix without being excluded from the matrix. The matrix has a porous structure with a pore size ranging from 5 microns to 500 microns and an active surface ranging from 0.5 cmto 10 m. The surface can bind the at least one component. |
