PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rice cooker capable of stably and excellently cooking rice without allowing a user to spend time and labor.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a body 1; a pot shape container 5 to be stored in the body 1; a lid body 10 for covering the opening of the pot shape container 5; a heating coil 3 for heating the pot shape container 5; control means 8 for drive-controlling the heating coil 3 and performing rice cooking processes including a pre-heating process and a temperature rising process; and water absorption determination means 16A for determining the water absorption level of rice on the basis of the change of a moisture content of the rice. The control means 8 controls the time of the pre-heating process in accordance with the absorption level of rice determined by the water absorption determination means 16A. |
