PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical rising weld method capable of performing deep penetration weld of a butted part of base materials at a T-shaped joint.SOLUTION: A weld method comprises: a first step for facing a weld torch to a first member and a second member disposed vertically and butted into a T shape, and moving the weld torch from a first point existing in a root part to a second point existing in the first member side and disposed above of the first point along a wall face of the first member; a second step for moving the weld torch from the second point to a third point existing in the second member side and disposed above of the second point; a third step for moving the weld torch from the third point to a fourth point existing in the root part and disposed above of the third point along a wall face of the second member; a fourth step for moving the weld torch from the fourth point to a fifth point existing in the root part and disposed above of the fourth point along the root part; and a fifth step for moving the weld torch from the fifth point to a sixth point existing in the root part and disposed below of the fifth point and above of the fourth point along the root part.
