PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide material with high charging performance which can be used as electrode material in secondary lithium-ion batteries.SOLUTION: A mixed oxide contains a) a mixed-substituted lithium manganese spinel in which some of the manganese lattice sites are occupied by lithium and b) a boron-oxygen compound. The mixed oxide is a single-phase mixed oxide in which the boron-oxygen compound is in the same phase as the mixed-substituted lithium manganese spinel.
