<p>The present invention pertains to a liquid crystal alignment agent containing component (A) and component (B) below, said liquid crystal alignment agent being at least one type of polymer selected from polyimides and polyimide precursors obtained through a polymerization reaction between a tetracarboxylic acid component and a diamine component. Component (A): A polymer containing at least one type of tetracarboxylic acid component selected from 3,4-dicarboxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-naphthalene succinic dianhydride or the like, and a diamine component having a side chain represented by formula (1). (In formula (1): P1 represents a single bond or the like; Q1, Q2 and Q3 each represent a divalent benzene ring or the like; p, q and r each represent 0 or 1; and P2 represents a hydrogen atom or the like.) Component (B): A polymer comprising only the aforementioned tetracarboxylic acid component, and a diamine component having a -CR21 2- group (here, each of the two R21s represents a hydrogen atom or the like) in the main chain.</p> |
