An embodiment of an offset compensating method of a signal for controlling an inverter comprises the steps of: detecting by sampling input AC voltage for controlling the inverter at regular time intervals; calculating a voltage sum value of the input AC voltage which is detected at regular time intervals; determining whether a cycle of the input AC voltage is equal to and more than a certain cycle; calculating a voltage average value per one cycle of the voltage sum value if the cycle of the input AC voltage is equal to and more than the certain cycle; determining whether the calculated voltage average value exceeds a first threshold; and compensating offset components corresponding to the voltage average value if the voltage average value exceeds the first threshold.
