PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free piezoelectric material having a high and stable piezoelectric constant and an excellent mechanical quality factor in a wide practical temperature range.SOLUTION: There is provided a piezoelectric material which is composed of a perovskite type metal oxide represented by the following general formula (1): (BaCa)(TiSnZr)O(0.050≤x≤0.200, 0.010≤y≤0.040, 0≤z≤0.040, provided that x≥0.375(y+z)+0.050; a is 0.9925+b≤a≤1.0025+b), a first sub-component composed of Mn and a second sub-component composed of Mg. When the content of Mn is b mol in terms of metal based on 1 mole of a metal oxide, 0.0048≤b≤0.0400 and the content of Mg is 0.100 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of a metal oxide (provided that 0 pts.wt. is excluded). |
