The present invention relates to a device and a method for emitting exhaust gas using geographic information and, more specifically, to a device and a method for emitting exhaust gas using geographic information which promote the convenience for operating a ship by automatically controlling the operation and a halt of equipment for the post-treatment of exhaust gas in an emission control area (ECA) and an SO_x emission control area on a course, by using global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based geographic information. The device comprises a ship location monitoring module which monitors the relative location of a ship in the emission control area on a real time basis; an emission control area data management module which manages the data of the emission control area; and a post-treatment equipment control module which automatically controls at least one equipment for the post-treatment of exhaust gas according to a control regulation, which is predefined, based on the information of the relative location of the ship monitored by the ship location monitoring module. |
