<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device and a paper sheet processing method, capable of performing various processing including the collection or supply of paper sheets.SOLUTION: A paper sheet processing device has a main module 10 and a charging module 30. The main module 10 includes: a supply part 11 on which a plurality of paper sheets are superposed in a stacked manner; a take-out mechanism 14 for taking out the paper sheets from the supply part; a conveyance path 16 for conveying the taken-out bank bills; an auditing device 18 for auditing the paper sheet to be conveyed; and an accumulation part 22a for accumulating the audited paper sheets. The charging module communicates with a mounting part 34 capable of mounting a loading box 32 of an automatic transaction device and a main module, and includes: a conveyance path 44 for conveying the paper sheets; a take-out charging mechanism 36 for taking out and charging the paper sheets from and to the loading box; an auditing device 38 for auditing the paper sheet taken out from the loading box; and a reject box 40 for accumulating audited and rejected paper sheets.</p> |
