<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical integrated element that has an arrangement so as to align signal propagation times to optical modulators among the integrated optical modulators.SOLUTION: Electric signals SE1 to SE4 from electric signal input parts 25a to 25d arranged at a first edge 2a drive modulators 15, 17, 19 and 21 arrayed in a second axis Ax2 direction. Modulated optical signals LM1 to LM4 travel to an optical signal output port 13 provided at a second edge 2b opposed to the first edge 2a. Therefore, a position of the output port 13 of the modulated optical signals LM1 to LM4 does not obstruct an arrangement of an electric input 11 of the drive signals SE1 to SE4. Further, the electric signal input parts 25a to 25d are arrayed in the second axis Ax2 direction, and the modulators 15, 17, 19 and 21 are also arrayed in the second axis Ax2 direction. Thus, a transmission line length from each of the input parts of the electric signals SE1 to SE4 to each of the optical modulators is defined by an interval between an array IARY of the electric signal input parts and an array MARY of the modulators.</p> |
