PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method using a weed-proof material having a weed-proof effect that lasts for a long time, easy to construct and easy to procure, hard to be deteriorated by passing of pedestrians or vehicles after construction, and using steel slag having a low environmental effect.SOLUTION: A method for constructing a weed-proof material, as first means, includes: using the weed-proof material composed of steel slag formed by adjusting a grain size to a continuous grading having a maximum grading of 40 mm, especially, to a grading corresponding to a roadbed material, for being laid for weed-proofing of a soil surface; cutting weeds grown in a section for weed-proofing; and then laying the weed-proof material composed of the steel slag subjected to the grading adjustment on the section for weed-proofing at a thickness of 100 mm or more so as not to expose soil having a grain size of the maximum grading or more forming the soil surface in the section for weed-proofing. |
