The present invention relates to an oriental herb tea and a health functional food, which have an excellent anti-oxidation activity and a high sensory property so that adolescents, women and general people who show repulsion against oriental herbal medicine can drink without repulsion. More specifically, the present invention relates to a technology to manufacture an oriental herb tea and a health functional food by extracting 21 kinds of complex oriental medicinal herbs for refreshment, which has passed down as a secret method for a long time, at a high temperature with hot water; filtering with a conventional method; manufacturing powder by spray-drying with a reduced pressure or freeze-drying; and mixing with maltodextrin, refined white sugar, xylitol and citric acid, etc. The oriental medicinal herb composition extracted with hot water from 21 kinds of oriental medicinal herbs shows an excellent anti-oxidation activity and antibacterial activity compared to the conventional liquid products such as Ssangwha-tang and Sipjeondaebo-tang manufactured by extracting 7-10 kinds of oriental medicinal herbs. Especially, the oriental medicinal herb composition of the present invention has an excellent effect of relaxing mind. Further, powder stick products including the oriental medicinal herb composition of the present invention are convenient to carry and drink, have an excellent sensory property due to the enhanced sour and sweet taste, and have an effect of providing a high functional and high sensory oriental herb tea due to a high preference to adolescents and young women who have repulsion against oriental herbal medicine. |
