PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add a knocking detection function to an internal combustion engine which does not have the knocking detection function.SOLUTION: A knocking detection device includes: a knocking sensor 41 which detects vibrations of an internal combustion engine; a housing 49 which houses an operation part 42 requesting a knocking signal that indicates a knocking state of the internal combustion engine on the basis of an output signal of the knocking sensor 41 and is separated from the knocking sensor 41; a first cable 65 which makes a connection so that the output signal may be transmitted between the knocking sensor 41 and the operation part 42; and a second cable 75 which enables at least the knocking signal to be output from the operation part 42. One end of the first cable 65 is connected with the knocking sensor 41 and the other end is connected with the housing 49. One end of the second cable 75 is connected with the housing 49.
