PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble acetaminophen analog.SOLUTION: The water-soluble acetaminophen prodrug provided by the present invention and preparations thereof are potentially suitable for non-oral administration. A method for treating acetaminophen-responsive disorders or states (fever and/or pain) by using the acetaminophen prodrug as well as a kit, a unit dosage, and combined uses thereof with additional medical drugs (singular or plural) are also provided. One embodiment of the present invention provides a preparation including, together with the compound of the present invention, a compound selected from the group consisting of opioids, nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID), benzodiazepine, and barbiturates. |
