摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of efficiently heating an exhaust catalyst although there is a holding member for holding the exhaust catalyst.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 1 includes an oxidation catalyst 4 provided in an exhaust passage 3 connected to an engine, and a chemical thermal storage unit 12 for heating the oxidation catalyst 4. The oxidation catalyst 4 consists of a honeycomb base material 10 for supporting a catalyst material. The base material 10 is formed of SiC. Inside the oxidation catalyst 4, an elastic holding mat 11 cross-shaped in a cross section is provided on a pipe member 9 as part of the exhaust passage 3 for holding the oxidation catalyst 4. The oxidation catalyst 4 is divided into four parts. The chemical thermal storage unit 12 has a cylindrical reactor 13 including a thermal storage material 18 arranged around the oxidation catalyst 4 for chemically reacting with NHto generate heat, and storage equipment connected to the reactor 13 via a medium supply passage 14 for storing the NH.
