PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that reduces a tensile force acting on a recording medium inside a nip part from the outside in a longitudinal direction of the nip part toward the center part in the longitudinal direction, while maintaining a tensile force acting on the recording medium from the center part in the longitudinal direction of the nip part toward the outside in the longitudinal direction before the recording medium is conveyed to the nip part.SOLUTION: A pressure roller 31 is formed into an inverted crown shape so that a tensile force from the center part in a longitudinal direction of a nip part toward the outside in the longitudinal direction acts on a recording medium before being conveyed to the nip part. A stationary member 26 has a protrusion 26a in which the protrusion amount is increased as closer to the downstream side in a conveyance direction from the center part N of the nip part. The protrusion 26a protrudes while curved along the conveyance direction, and protrudes in an arc shape from the outside in the longitudinal direction toward the center part in the longitudinal direction. The nip part is pressed into the pressure roller 31 by the protrusion 26a at the center part in the longitudinal direction, so as to alleviate a tensile force acting on the recording medium in the nip part from the outside in the longitudinal direction toward the center part in the longitudinal direction. |
