PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density optical recording/reproducing device and a reproducing method capable of performing accurate and stable tracking.SOLUTION: The recording/reproducing device of an information recording medium includes: a slider 104 that has plural metal antennas 108a, 108b and 108c each of which interacts with fine particles 102 and the resonance state of which changes according to the distance from the track, and the metal antennas 108a, 108b and 108c are disposed being separated from each other in a direction perpendicular to the track at a fixed distance; plural semiconductor laser elements 107a, 107b and 107c; plural waveguides 109; and plural light receiving elements 110a, 110b and 110c each detects near-field light generated adjacent to the metal antennas 108a, 108b and 108c. The recording/reproducing device generates a tracking signal from detected signals from a light receiving element 110 corresponding to the metal antennas 108b and 108c. With this, the metal antenna 108a tracks stably and accurately with respect to the fine particles 102. |
