PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the long-term cycle characteristics of a lithium ion battery or a lithium ion capacitor by minimizing a decomposition reaction of an electrolyte and the like occurring as a side reaction of charging/discharging in repeated charging/discharging of the lithium ion battery or the lithium ion capacitor.SOLUTION: An electrode for an electricity storage device comprises: a collector; and an active material layer formed on the collector. The active material layer includes a plurality of active material particles and silicon oxide. The granular active material has a region that is in contact with one of the other granular active material, on the surface thereof. The surface of the granular active material except the region is partly or entirely covered with the silicon oxide. |
