PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming apparatus capable of covering the entire surface of a sheet with the sufficient amount of toner to provide a glossy image on the entire surface of a picture.SOLUTION: An image forming method includes the steps of: performing half-tone processing on K, C, M, Y version data and creating negative/positive inversion image data (inverse mask) on the basis of the image; increasing the size of a dot boundary line of the negative/positive inversion image by one dot; and overlapping the image subjected to the half-tone processing and the image obtained by increasing the size of the dot boundary line of the negative/positive inversion image by one dot with each other. Through this method, it is possible to prevent inhibition of coverage of the entire surface of a sheet with toner, which is caused by color shift and dot gain. |
