PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit that has a highly accurate temperature compensation function, enabling a crisp photographing and projecting image and the like without being affected by an influence of an environmental temperature, and to provide an imaging and projecting device that has the lens unit.SOLUTION: A lens unit has: an outside lens barrel which has a lens unit body, is fixed to the lens unit body, has a though-hole extending in an optical axis and of which a linear expansion coefficient isα1; an inside lens barrel of which an outside surface is slidably engaged with an inside surface of the outside lens barrel, holds a lens member; and a temperature compensation rod member which is arranged within the through-hole in the outside lens barrel, has the outside lens barrel and the inside lens barrel anchored at a position different in an optical axis direction, and of which the linear expansion coefficient isα2. In the lens unit, let a distance between an anchoring point to the lens unit body and an anchoring point to the temperature compensation rod member in the outside lens barrel be L1, and a distance between an anchoring point to the inside lens barrel and an anchoring point to the lens unit body in the temperature compensation rod member be L2,α1×L1 is not equal toα2×L2. |
