PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation unit and a method of recovering flash trank drain in starting the power generation unit, capable of effectively recovering flash tank drain in starting the power generation unit.SOLUTION: In a power generation unit including a first pipe 24 connected between a flash tank 3 for recovering exhaust steam of a boiler 2 and a condenser 4 for recovering drain from the flash tank and condensing the same, a second pipe 26 connected between the flash tank for recovering exhaust steam of the boiler and a deaerator 5 for recovering the drain of the flash tank and the condenser, and a third pipe 32 connected between the deaerator and the boiler, the first pipe and the third pipe are connected by a branch pipe 34, a drain valve 340 opened in starting the power generation unit, is disposed on a branch point of the first pipe and the branch pipe, and a heat exchanger 341 is disposed on a branch point of the third pipe and the branch pipe. |
