PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator capable of improving oil separation efficiency and an outdoor unit of an air conditioner including this oil separator.SOLUTION: An oil separator includes: a separator main body having an inner circumferential surface 221 circumferentially surrounding a cylindrical internal space S; and an inlet pipe 24 having a tip end surface 240 located within the internal space S, emitting a refrigerant from a position of the tip end surface 240 into the internal space S, and circulating the refrigerant along the inner circumferential surface 221. The inlet pipe 24 is attached to the separator main body so that at least a part of the tip end surface 240 is located closer to a side in an emission direction than a diameter Dof the inner circumferential surface 221 in a direction orthogonal to the emission direction of the refrigerator from the tip end surface 240 in a view in a direction of a central axis Cof the inner circumferential surface 221. |
