PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device capable of suppressing change of a deviation amount between the revolving shaft center of a lathe chuck and the axial center of a glass rod when the glass rod is removed from the lathe chuck and then held again.SOLUTION: A holding device 100 for allowing lathe chucks 11, 12 to hold a glass rod 13 includes a cylindrical holder 14 mounted on the lathe chucks 11, 12 so that the center of inner and outer diameters agrees with the revolving shaft center X of the lathe chuck 11. The glass rod 13 is held by the lathe chuck 11 through the holder 14. |
