<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a control method for controlled cooling of high temperature plate-like or strip-like metal, capable of promptly changing a flow volume even at a low flow volume, attaining an appropriate flow volume more promptly, and stopping water from dropping when inflow is stopped.SOLUTION: A first valve (7) is connected to the header by a conduit, and a second valve (8) is connected to an opposite side to the central supply pipe of the first valve. At least the first valve is opened so as to enable air to be released from the header during filling of the header with the cooling fluid, and prevents the cooling fluid from being releasing from the header when the header is filled with the cooling fluid. At least the second valve prevents the air from returning into the header after the header is filled with the cooling fluid.</p> |
