PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantifying Stromelysin 1 with higher sensitivity and more accuracy, in which the Stromelysin 1 belongs to a subgroup of matrix metalloproteases that are involved in degradation of proteins constituting basal membrane or connective tissue of blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, and articular cartilages, so-called extracellular matrix, for more accurately diagnosing chronic articular rheumatism.SOLUTION: Provided is a monoclonal antibody reacting specifically with Stromelysin 1, that has decreased reactivity with a peptide produced by degrading Stromelysin 1 with 0.51 mU per 1μg of lysyl endopeptidase at pH8.5, 37°C, for 15 minutes. |
