METHOD FOR GENERATING ONE-TIME CARD NUMBER

Disclosed is a method for generating a one-time card number, in which the one-time card number is issued to a payment device so that the issued one-time card number is generated in a manner that cannot be inferred or predicted by other people, thus enabling payments made by a credit card to be performed with improved security. To this end, the method of the present invention is performed by a card company server which provides a one-time card number to the payment device when the one-time card number is requested from the payment device connected via a wireless network. The method may comprise the steps of: allocating the payment device to an index table in the order of the request for the one-time card number when the payment device requests the one-time card number; acquiring a number sequence from a one-time card number table having the one-time number using the target addresses arranged in a non-sequential manner in the index table; and generating a one-time card number including the number sequence and the disclosed bank identification number (BIN).
