The present invention is to provide a californium neutron source container using an optimum lead shielding method capable of reducing the weight of a lead shielding material to preferentially block gamma rays generated by the reaction between a neutron and a polyethylene shielding material by placing the lead shielding material inside the source container before energy is attenuated.
