PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber type endoscope apparatus capable of being used, for example, for continuously monitoring environment inside the skull by being indwelled inside the brain in a cranial nerve disease region.SOLUTION: The optical fiber type endoscope apparatus has at least: an observing tube capable of obtaining an image of an observation target part by indwelling a distal end portion in the observation target part; and a control observation part connected to a rear end portion of the observing tube, for observing the image of the observation target part obtained by the observing tube. The observing tube is configured in such a manner that soft holding means holds at least: a light fiber guiding illumination light illuminating the observation target part; an objective lens forming the image of the observation target part illuminated by the illumination light; an image fiber comprising an optical fiber bundle, having the distal end face on which the image of the observation target part is formed, and transmitting the formed image to the rear end face; and a shape holding member. The shape holding member comprises plastic linear bodies, and the linear bodies can be pulled out from the rear end portion side of the observing tube. |
