PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved modification method of a filter medium capable of easily performing the modification of the filter medium and to provide a modified filter medium by the modification method.SOLUTION: In a modification method of a filter medium where the filter medium is treated by a cationization agent aqueous solution containing a cationization agent, the modification of the filter medium can be more easily performed because the filter medium can be modified only by treating the filter medium with the cationization agent aqueous solution. The safety of the modified filter medium can be further improved by composing the filter medium with cellulose.
