1. A voltage generation circuit comprising:
a pumping unit configured to perform a pumping operation using a power supply voltage inputted from an external power source; and a voltage regulation unit configured to control the pumping unit to generate a pumping voltage and output the pumping voltage as a target voltage in a first mode, and control the pumping unit to generate a reserve voltage and generate the target voltage by down-converting the reserve voltage in a second mode, wherein the voltage regulation unit selectively operates according to one of the first mode and the second mode and outputs the target voltage through an output terminal.
